TO PRODUCE THESE IMAGES, THE CAMERA'S TRADITIONAL LENS HAS BEEN REPLACED WITH A MODIFIED BODY CAP. THIS ATTACHMENT, SIMILAR TO A PINHOLE CAMERA, WITH AN APERTURE OF ƒ/45. ITS DISTINGUISHING FEATURE IS A SERIES OF CONCENTRIC CIRCLES ETCHED INTO THE GLASS THAT DIFFRACT THE PASSING LIGHT WAVES RATHER THAN REFRACTING. THE HIGH APERTURE REQUIRES LONG EXPOSURES AND RESULTS IN A IMAGE WITH A DISPERSED VIRTUAL AND ACTUAL FOCAL PLANES.
